Santa's Slide
Someone on the design team didn't think this slide all the way through. Santa looks normal enough, and the slide really isn't that bad compared to some of the other items on this list, but you can't help but wonder who thought it'd be a good idea to make it look like Santa was sitting on a toilet. Luckily, this isn't something that most kids would immediately pick up on.

However, we have to imagine there were some chuckles among the parents as soon as they set eyes on this. Whoever put this thing together probably noticed the odd placement of the slide, as well.
When You Know Exactly What You Want for Christmas
Writing a Christmas letter to Santa can make for some pretty hilarious text. In fact, pretty much any letter you let a kid write has the potential to turn out funny. But we've certainly never seen a child go to the same lengths to ask for a gift as this kid. He ended up writing down an entire URL so that Santa would know where to find whatever he was asking for.

It wasn't a short URL either, and we only have to imagine this took all of his concentration and focus. He probably should've just sent Santa an email with a hyperlink instead.
Are You Sure About That?
You don't have to be a dog lover to know that the image on this stocking doesn't match up with the text. Even though it's targeting dog owners, there's clearly a cat on the stocking, which is pretty perplexing. We suppose that the only viable explanation is that it was made in China or somewhere, and nobody at the factory checked the English text before shipping it out, but even then.

You would think that once it reached the store, someone would've taken notice and just made the decision not to put it on the shelf or sell it to customers.
Baby Jesus Isn't Looking So Great
Nativity scenes are a pretty common Christmas decoration, so it's not unusual to see them everywhere around the holiday season. However, it is uncommon to see decorations that look like this. Baby Jesus looks a little off in this image, and we're not sure if the decoration was meant to look like this or if this was just a one-off mistake from the factory. We can't imagine someone would produce an entire line of these.

Then again, the holidays only come once a year, and we're sure most manufacturers are in a rush to get their products out before Christmas time, which could lead to mistakes.
This Looks Painful
Someone really messed up with these reindeer decorations. Not only are they biologically inaccurate, but they're also kind of morbid. The holiday season is supposed to be a time of joy and happiness, but these decorations look like something you'd put up during Halloween. Like seriously, why are the reindeer's antlers sticking out of their eyes? How does that even happen? These decorations look more like the stuff of nightmares than something you hang on a Christmas tree.

We can imagine some of the awkward conversations parents had to have with their children after they were asked why Rudolph had antlers coming out of his eyes.
That's The Signal
This image looks like it was probably something aired on a local television station, which might explain why nobody picked up on the awkwardly placed cross at the beginning of the phrase. It spells out "treason for the season," and while we're pretty sure they didn't mean to spell that out, it's still hilarious. If we were conspiracy theorists, we might assume this was some kind of signal before a big event.

What or who anybody would be committing treason against is anybody's guess, but it does kind of sound like something the Grinch would scheme up to spoil Christmas for everyone else.
Party City
Many small towns will hang Christmas lights during the holiday season, and they're usually shaped like sleighs, reindeer, or Santa. But, the lights in this image are shaped like... something else. We're sure you can guess what we're talking about, but it does not exactly fit with the holiday theme. That said, we could actually see a city like Las Vegas or somewhere known for partying hanging up lights like these.

But the place in this photo looks like any other small town, and we don't think they were trying to be clever or funny. They probably just bought the lights and didn't realize what they were shaped like until they were already hung.
Someone Should've Been Fired For This
As far as bad Christmas decorations go, this is probably the worst offender on this list. It's pretty creepy, and we're at a loss as to how no one caught on to it before they made and shipped these. Even the snowman kind of looks like a creep. We'd of loved to have been in the meeting where someone came up with the words on this sign just so we could've laughed as soon as they told everyone their idea.

It certainly looks like they could've used a couple of people like that. Unfortunately, it doesn't look like they had any because they ended up making and shipping this sign.
Don't Do It Santa
The holiday season isn't exactly the time of year to be telling people to go and jump off a bridge. However, that appears to be exactly what this Santa decoration is doing. We're sure it was an accident, and the city was just trying to bring some joy to people driving by, but they probably could've up picked a worse spot to hand this up. If you were passing by in a car, this might even look like a real person at first.

We just hope that there were no wrecks from people having to double-take after glancing up at this sign. Hopefully, next year this town puts Santa up in the park or at the bottom of a building.
That's Not Where Syrup Comes From Kids
While this menu is kind of funny, we can't imagine it persuaded many customers to order pancakes. We'd probably choose something else on the menu after seeing this. Yes, we know that syrup isn't made every time Santa takes a leak, but it still puts us off the pancakes. Then again, maybe some appreciated the joke enough to order the pancakes because this had to be made like this on purpose.

We can't imagine the business owner not taking notice when they designed or saw their new menus on all of those tables. We also can't imagine the staff not bringing it up.
Santa Steals Souls
It's hard to tell from the photo if this is a giant painting or just a small Christmas card, but it's pretty creepy either way. For some reason, Santa has the faces of children in his beard. To make it worse, all of the children are pale white like ghosts, which kind of implies that these are the souls of children. Honestly, that would explain how he powers his sleigh and how he travels around the world in one night.

It would also make for a decent premise for a horror movie, which we're sure wasn't what the artist behind this image was going for when they created it.
Santaur Is Santa From A Parallel Universe
Unlike some of the other terrible Christmas decorations on this list, Santaur looks like he was intended to be exactly what he is. Now, why anyone would intend to make a half-horse, half-human version of Santa is anyone's guess. However, it is kind of clever and a bit goofy to see. We could also see Santuar being a character on an animated show like Rick and Morty or something.

But we probably wouldn't hang Santaur on our Christmas tree or buy and put him next to our normal Christmas decorations. It would just raise too many questions among the kids.
Reese's Needs To Step Its Game Up
If you're unfamiliar, every year during the holidays, Reese's releases special cups shaped like Christmas trees. The company does the same during Easter, and those are shaped like eggs. And it looks like, for some reason, whoever took this photo ended up getting an egg during Christmas time. We wouldn't be complaining because they essentially taste the same (which is to say they both taste amazing), but it'd still probably be a slight letdown.

It also makes you wonder how in the world this happened, considering they only produce their chocolate eggs some four months after Christmas. We hope this one wasn't just a cup that was made the year prior and repackaged.
Happy Holidays?
Most Christmas decorations are made to look joyful and happy. However, the angel in this photo looks like it has had better days. The worst part is that this doesn't appear to be a defect, meaning all of the decorations in this line probably look the same as this one. It's not the worst decoration on this list, but nobody wants an angel on their tree that looks like it's coming off a three-day bender.

Then again, it might make for a funny gag gift for someone if you just want to buy it to see their face whenever they open up their gift.
Santa's Famous Catchphrase
This little holiday mistake is actually kind of cute (at least when compared to some of the others on this list). It looks as if someone messed up the text on this wrapping gift bag because it's supposed to be "Ho Ho Ho" and not "Oh Oh Oh". It's not the end of the world, and it actually makes the gift bag a bit more unique and funny than if it had the usual catchphrase.

It's also not every day that you see something like a bag or a Christmas card that's messed up, so this would actually be worth keeping and using again, unlike a lot of other gift bags.
A Crime Scene Candle
It took us a couple of seconds to realize what was happening in this photo, but this thing was actually a candle. But whoever made it must not have thought out the design because it looks like a depiction of a crime scene with all of that red wax at the base. It quickly went from a festive candle to something a bit darker after a couple of seconds of us looking at it.

A simple solution would've been to change the color of the candle to literally anything else. It probably even could've been green and still looked better than the scene here.
Something Here Doesn't Belong
We thought that everyone knew that Santa's sleigh is usually pulled by reindeer but apparently not. For some reason, this store decided to use chocolate bunnies instead of reindeer. We're not sure if they were just trying to clear out some stock and thought that nobody would notice or if this is what they were sent, but it makes for a weird display. The worst part is that the packaging advertises "reindeer".

However, like some of the other failed holiday treats on this list, we're sure there would be no real difference in taste if these were reindeer instead of rabbits.
Can You Spot Santa?
At first glance, this looks like a pretty typical holiday sweater. However, once you find Santa, you can probably spot what makes this sweater unique. It's a lot better than some other items on this list, but it's still pretty funny. We're pretty sure most guys who grew up around snow have done this at least once or twice, especially when they were little kids, so the sweater kind of fits in with that theme.

That said, this probably isn't something you would want your kid rocking to school or wearing to a neighbor's house for dinner. Just because you know your kid is a handful doesn't mean you have to let everyone else know as well.
The Picture Wasn't Wrong
You can certainly fault this advertisement for many things, but it wasn't exactly wrong, maybe just a bit misleading. Someone ordered this mug after seeing the advertisement and assumed the picture on the mug would just change when hot coffee was poured into it. However, that's not exactly what they ended up getting. Instead, they just got a mug with an exact image of the advertisement on the side.

We're sure the customer probably wasn't very happy after getting their order, but it is pretty clever advertising on the manufacturer's part, even if it is completely misleading and probably led to many bad product reviews.
The Stuff Of Nightmares
Why is it that so many different designers seem to be falling into the same mistake? Christmas is supposed to be a happy time, yet there are items on this list that make it seem like a cursed holiday. Just take a look at these Christmas bears. They look like something out of some kind of depraved animated movie. If we were kids and we saw this in a store, we'd probably have nightmares afterward.

It's also kind of baffling that a store manager would still set these up after pulling them out of the box and seeing them firsthand. You'd think the manager would just set them on fire after coming face-to-face with them.
Thanks For That
Product descriptions and warnings can go a bit overboard sometimes, but we've never seen a product description as obvious and prominently printed as this. The label reads "bell shaped bells", as if bells are shaped other than anything besides... well, bells. We suppose that you could make bells shaped like animals or something, and they'd probably still kind of work, but when have you actually ever seen anything like that?

It's just kind of weird that the manufacturer thought it was necessary to give people a description like this, and on the front of the packaging in giant letters, too.
Maybe Not The Best Idea For Kids
A lot of the items on this list really make you wonder where all of the sane people were when they were coming up with some of these ideas, and this one is no different. The company described the t-shirt in this photo as one of their most popular adult tees. That part makes sense, as this would make for a funny adult t-shirt. However, it doesn't really make for the best kid's tee.

We're pretty sure that there aren't too many kids out there who'd get the joke on the t-shirt, but that's still no excuse to give a kid a funny shirt and then laugh when they wear it.
What Happened To Olaf?
If you've never seen the movie, Frozen, then you should probably watch it because it's just one of those movies you have to see. But Olaf's character looks nothing like the figurine in this photo. He's much more cheerful looking in the movie, as one might imagine. What makes this even weirder is that this figurine was made by Hallmark, the company that does pretty much nothing but make greeting cards and sappy movies.

We don't have exact numbers, but their business is pretty much made to cash in on the holiday season, and we're sure it makes up a large chunk of their revenue. So, you'd think they be better at catching things like this.
That's Not How Surprises Work
There was obviously a disconnect somewhere between whoever wrote the copy on this product and whoever designed the packaging. It says that there is a surprise plush inside of the little ball, but as you can see, it's not really a surprise. The packaging on top is completely see-through, and it's not even remotely difficult to make out what's actually inside. But maybe this is targeting people who aren't really big on surprises.

We could maybe see this being some sort of gag gift for someone who is not a big fan of being surprised, but we're sure odds are it was just a simple mistake.
How'd You Know?
There are a couple of different ways that the text on this Christmas ornament can be read, and we'll just go ahead and tell you that "you had meat ho ho", isn't what it's supposed to say. It looks like someone ran out of space because it's supposed to actually read, "you had me at ho ho". But to be fair neither of them really makes any sense unless you're Mrs. Clause.

Maybe if you happen to be dressed up like Santa and then your partner hands you this, it kind of makes sense, but even then, it's a weird ornament to buy.
Watch It All Burn
This is just a case of unfortunate advertisement placement, but it's still pretty hilarious. The sign isn't actually implying that you buy these gas cans and then go and commit arson. Instead, it's just kind of celebrating Christmas savings or something like that. However, the best part is probably that someone actually noticed it and decided to take a photo. Our hats are off to whoever it was that noticed and posted it online for everyone to see.

That said, it makes a whole lot more sense that this would happen at a Wal-Mart as opposed to another grocery store. For some reason, things like this always do.
A Scandal Is Brewing
As legitimate as this photo might look, no, Mcdonald's did not actually make a coffee cup like this and sell it to a bunch of people. Instead, a clever customer spotted the mittens on the cup and decided to "alter" the design a bit. It's honestly kind of creative, if a bit childish, and probably an image we could've done without. That said, the designers of the cup could've also done a better job.

We mean, who makes mittens that look like that? We suppose hindsight is 20/20, but we're still pretty sure that a billion-dollar company like that has a couple of people employed to ensure that things like this don't happen.
It Always Looks So Much Better In The Pictures
This photo comparison pretty much exemplifies what we feel like every time we cook something ever. The dishes and recipes posted online always look so much better than what we manage to cook. We're not saying the Santa made out of cupcakes on the right looks bad or anything, but the one on the left is just next level. Actually, it's probably a couple of levels ahead, if we're being honest.

Also, why does the Santa on the right have orange eyes? It's kind of creepy, but we'd still eat them because at the end of the day, cupcakes are cupcakes.
They Kind Of Missed The Point
Don't worry if you can't tell what this display is supposed to say after a couple of seconds because it actually took us a while to figure it out. The display is supposed to say "Christmas". However, whoever put it together decided that they were just going to change how the English language works and make people read it from bottom to top instead of the usual top to bottom.

In doing so, they made a pretty confusing display that's sure to have a couple of shoppers scratching their heads. Sure, it looks okay, but it just doesn't make much sense.
Trying To Trip Up Santa
It's pretty amazing that even though Santa travels the world from door to door in one night, he never manages to get lost. Whoever thought up the idea for this sign obviously thought so, too, and decided to put an end to all of that. There is no way Santa, or anyone else, wouldn't get a little turned around after taking a look at this thing, which seems to be pointing in every direction.

Not only that, but the text is really frantic. It kind of makes you anxious just reading it, but maybe that was by design to get into Santa's head a bit.
They Don't Make Them Like They Used To
Most people are pretty familiar with books and activities like the one in this photo. They just challenge kids, and sometimes adults, to find certain images inside a larger, often cluttered, photo or image. However, we definitely remember them being a bit more difficult than this one when we were kids. Someone pulled a tab back and was asked to find a man running. As you can see, they didn't have to look too far.

The man running is literally right underneath the tab, which would be pretty disappointing if we were the person pulling the little tab back. You would think someone at the company would've caught this.
Something Isn't Quite Right Here
When you first look at these reindeer, you might notice that something about them is a bit off, but it actually takes a second to figure out exactly what that is. We're not going to tell you here, but it's definitely something the designers probably should've caught before these were made and went out. Luckily, it's not something that most kids would pick up on whenever they saw these.

Still, we're sure some of the parents that saw these cutouts were giggling to themselves or taking photos like whoever it was that took this photo and posted it online.
This Led To Some Awkward Questions
We get the logic behind choosing to put a squirrel on top of a Christmas tree, but we really don't get the execution. We mean, squirrels are cute creatures, and when you dress them in a Santa hat and shirt, they get even cuter. But when you see one at the top of a tree and in this position, it just makes you wonder who saw that and thought it was a good idea.

Apparently, some parents thought so too because this was taken down not too long after it was put up because parents complained after having to have some awkward conversations with their curious kids.
A Tree Fit For A Grinch
Trees are the easiest part of Christmas, right? And we mean trees themselves, not actually what you put on a tree or at the top because as we see from this list, that's pretty easy to screw up. Well, you would think so until you saw whatever this thing is supposed to be. Obviously, it's supposed to be a Christmas tree, but it doesn't really fit the description very well.

It actually looks a lot like something else, but that's to be expected when you make a Christmas tree that's brown and has a bunch of swirls in it.
They Were So Close
Whoever made this display was so close to making it look completely normal. They just had to put the tail a little higher, and it wouldn't have ended up online and eventually on a list like this. Instead, they put it down where it looks like it's coming out of a place it shouldn't be. And we're obviously not the only ones who think that because someone snapped a photo and posted it.

Luckily, it's still not as noticeable as many other Christmas fails on this list, but that still doesn't mean it gets a complete pass, especially since they were so close to making it look normal and dropped the ball.
A Creepy Christmas Mug
There were multiple wrong turns taken in the making of this mug. The first is the color. Yes, red is a Christmas color, but that doesn't mean that it's the only color or that you have to splatter it all over your mug like you just lifted it from a crime scene. The failed decision was the wording on this mug because we have absolutely no idea what it's supposed to mean.

The word "believe" isn't really all that associated with Christmas, and we're not sure what they're referring to. So, it adds another layer to the creepiness level of this cup.
Someone Got Ripped Off
We're not the best at math. We'll readily admit that. After all, it's why we write posts instead of doing something useful, like becoming an engineer or a doctor. Still, we're pretty sure there aren't four Christmas ornaments in this box, even though it clearly says there should be. Unless there's a fourth ornament hiding behind these three in the back of the box somewhere, then someone got ripped off.

And it's pretty unlikely that there is a fourth ornament because this box looks pretty thin and why not show potential buyers the fourth ornament if there is one in there?
For When You're Having A Bad Christmas
As much as we try, not every holiday season can be a winner. When that happens, you'll probably want to ditch the festive tree and just go with something that reflects your mood a little bit better, like these toilet plunger trees. At least, that's what we think the makers of these were probably thinking their selling point would be when they were throwing around ideas in the meeting room.

And honestly, it's kind of funny as a gag gift. But it's probably not something you'd want to throw up and decorate, especially not if you're single and trying not to stay that way.
Ignorance Is Bliss
Going through some of the items on this list really does miss the time when most adult jokes just went completely over our heads. Take this toy lion, for example. There's no way a kid is going to see anything wrong with this. Yet, if you know anything about adults and what some of them do for fun, then you might have a slightly different opinion about this toy.

Granted, there's still nothing really wrong with the toy itself, but it does really make us wish that we were a bit more ignorant of some of the things we know now.
Eye In The Sky
Nothing says top-rate security like covering a security camera's view with holiday decorations. It's not like crime actually increases during the holiday season or anything. We're sure as soon as the security team noticed this, they changed where they put their decorations, but it was still there long enough for someone to snag a photo. We just hope it wasn't there long enough for anyone to get away with any crimes.

It's also kind of hard to tell exactly where this security camera is, but it kind of looks like it's in a mall or something, which is even more discerning.
