While many people were pretty sad about the requirement to social distance and the fact that you were expected to stay away from family and friends for the sake of health, there were some people who learned that a lot of their relationships weren't the best. People couldn't smell perfume anymore, they were too busy covering themselves in excessive amounts of hand sanitizer. Although you probably never noticed a new scent for someone (because you were social distancing), the most exciting thing was finding a new scent for yourself.
It got you a little excited for the day, to know that you were wearing a new and fresh scent of hand sanitizer. After all, there wasn't too much else going on at the time.
A Different Type of Dancing Queen
When you first started reading this sign, this is probably not how you envisioned it ending. You probably thought that it would just be the happy go lucky lyrics from the beloved ABBA song. However, the words took a bit of a turn to fit the vibe of 2020. Although you may be a dancing queen, young and sweet. One of the funniest parts of the El Arroyo signs is that they are both accurate and funny, most of the time. This one says "a big nose isn't an excuse for a mask. I mean, I still wear underwear". It seems that some people were trying to get out of wearing a mask during corona times by claiming that their noses were just too big for the masks.
As the sign shows, this is just about as silly as claiming that you shouldn't wear underwear because a certain other part is "too big". It doesn't make sense and is a poor argument.

It seems like wealthy people and average people had a very different experiences during the pandemic. While everyone was supposed to social distance, avoid travel, and stay with all of the rules, the rules weren't quite as strict for some. For example, if you had a private jet, you were good to travel wherever you wanted essentially and could do whatever you wanted. If you have a house with a pool and tennis court, quarantine wasn't so bad.
The rich were not the ones who really suffered during covid. Their lush houses and lifestyles were hardly affected, especially compared to other people all around the world.

If there are two celebrities who are loved more than any others, it is Sean Connery and Alex Trebek. There is hardly a person anywhere who has something negative to say about them. That's why this sign is so beautiful. Because they put the thought together of the two of them playing jeopardy in the sky together after they both passed. There is little more frustrating than leaving your car, walking for a bit, and then realizing that you forgot something crucial in the car. It could be a mask or your wallet or anything that you need to accomplish whatever task you set out to do. But whichever it is, it is so frustrating and angering.

One of the most shocking aspects of the pandemic had to be the obsession and hoarding of toilet paper that happened across the world. It was honestly crazy to see how many people rushed to the grocery stores to stock up on toilet paper instead of other food essentials. You can guarantee that those people would not survive a true emergency if that is what their survival instincts were telling them to do.
Although toilet paper is a convenience in life that no one really wants to be without, it is also not the most important thing in the world. You will survive without toilet paper.

There is something shockingly accurate about this funny, rhyming sign outside of El Arroyo. After covid, people emerged to be entirely different. Some people came out of the experience as a monk because they became religious. Others came out as a hunk because they exercised a lot.
